Odilon Almeida Junior is a highly experienced global leader with a strong record of value creation in the financial, fintech, technology and consumer goods sectors. Over his 38+ year career, he has set strategy and led growth acceleration involving retail and digital transformation, organic expansion, and the acquisition and integration of new businesses. He has consistently driven successful, short- and medium-term turnarounds to restore growth while improving operating discipline and execution.
Odilon has held a number of high-level positions, including most recently as President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Member of the Board of Directors at global payment software provider, ACI Worldwide, and Operating Partner at Advent International, one of the world’s largest private equity funds. Prior to this, Odilon held a number of general management and operating roles at Western Union, the most recent of which was President, Western Union Global Money Transfer, where he headed the company’s $5B consumer business. Odilon has also held the roles of Founder and CEO of the venture capital firm AddVenture Inc., Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President, Digital Ventures at BankBoston International, as well as a number of marketing and operational positions at Coca-Cola and Colgate-Palmolive.
For the past 7 years, Odilon has served as a non-executive Member of the Board of Directors of Millicom International and Chairman of its Compliance and Business Conduct Committee. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Viscaya Museum & Gardens, a highly regarded museum destination in Miami.
Odilon earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and his Bachelors in Civil Engineering in Sao Paulo, Brazil and, extended his education at Harvard Business School, The Wharton School and the International Institute of Management (IMD).
